Gracie Freeman

Gracie Freeman is a clinical scientist, activist, and organizer who has been active in Nashville Democratic politics since 2023. Hailing from Helena, Montana, she moved to Nashville to attend Belmont University and after completing her master’s degree through The Ohio State University, now works in neurology research. 

Gracie serves on the leadership team of the East Nashtivists, advocates for progressive policy at the state capitol, while also working on local campaigns; this includes managing Ailina Carona for State Representative in 2024, serving as field director for the Davidson County Democratic Party in the 2025 congressional district 7 special election, and working on Aftyn Behn’s campaign for Congress as a field manager over Davidson County.

Gracie lives in downtown Nashville with her three cats, Tozer, Tohru, and Clementine. You can find her holding court at Dose in East Nashville, spending all of her money at Parnassus Books, taking advantage of her Belcourt membership, and enjoying classical music by our incredible Nashville Symphony down at the Schermerhorn.
